Cooking Demo

Elder and Sister Hicks sponsored a cooking demonstration in the Rita Branch. The Tiawanese vegetable farm in Laura came and showed the Marshallese people how to cook various vegetable dishes. We participated in the cooking and eating.

Service

Every Thursday the missionaries do service work for non-members and members. We got involved in this project. We are making a bigger parking area for a member named Percy. The Elders are Keeley, Nielsen, and Stone.

Construction

We have lived with construction at the Delap/Uliga church for months. They are getting close to finishing, we hope.

Seminary Classes

This is the Jenrok Branch seminary class. The teacher is Alik Balos, on the right.

Prince of Sweeden

The Prince of Sweden, Majuro's Street Cleaner.

This is Majuro's famous street sweeper. He calls himself the "Prince of Sweden." He cleans the streets all day, every day.

We stopped and asked if we could take his picture. He said, go ahead but he has never been very "photogenic." He wears this same outfit everyday.

Baptism

The baptism of Moses Pomale in the Delap Branch. His wife, Melissa, got baptized about two months ago and teaches in Primary. They will be a good family in the branch.

Baby

The Delap Branch President's wife finally had their baby.

P-Day activities

Sister Jones is helping these missionaries sew a quilt for Sister Bleak. The sisters are: Sister Loutei, Sister Runyan, Sister Tabuae, Sister Tinngig, Sister Bwakatii, and Watson.

Couples Play While President is Away!

While President Bleak was away the couples escaped to the beach for a picnic.

It's beautiful here.....in some places. Picnic at the beach.

Hats at the hospital

We received a new supply of newborn hats from Teddi and Grandma Beryl. This baby received the first hat and seems to like it a lot.

This baby and mother were thankful for their new hat. We are getting to be well known in the hospital.

Trip to Ebeye

If anyone wants their own private little island, here it is. This is on the way to Ebeye, taken from the barge.

In order to get to Ebeye you have to take a military barge from Kwajalein to Ebeye. Here Sister Jones is posing for the camera as we ride the barge to Ebeye on Saturday afternoon.

Welcome to Ebeye. This is the dock at Ebeye where we get off the barge and walk to the church.

Marshallese kids like you to take their picture. We were walking to the church in Ebeye and these kids wanted their picture taken. Sister Jones was more than happy to do it.

This is Ann Marie Loeak who is going to be the seminary teacher in Ebeye.

I am with Elder Samson and Elder Woodland. They are serving on Ebeye along with Elders Thomson and Bearchief, and Sisters Burg and Arakanria.

It gets quite hot on Ebeye so the kids swim in the lagoon to keep cool.

This picture was taken near our motel on Kwajalein. It is very clean and beautiful on this Army base.

This huge tree was near our motel on Kwajalein. We don't know what kind of tree it is but it must have been here a long time.

Zac

This is Zac Sunderland, a 16 year old boy from Los Angeles who is trying to be the youngest person to sail alone around the world. Majuro was his second stop on his journey, after Hawaii. His next stop is Darwin, Austraila, 3400 miles away. He was given a Book of Mormon before he left here.

Still More Hair

Sister Jones cut and styled these girls hair for a wedding. They are neices of Karen Aister, a member from Rita. Most of these girls are non-members and we hope this might be an opening for the missionaries sometime.

Sister Jones cut these ladies hair from the Uliga Branch. They are Sisters Jacklick, Emil, and Jerion.

Elders

Elder Jones from Parowan, Elder Wells from New Zealand, and Elder Davis from Fallon, NV. These three are the first missionaries to spend their entire missions with President Bleak as the mission president.

Us with Elder Davis at the airport when he is leaving to go home. He is from Fallon, Nevada and we got close to him when we first got here---a great missionary.

Thomas Family

This is the Thomas family from the Laura Branch. Sister Jones has cut her hair several times and became good friends with her. They are on their way to the temple in Hawaii for the first time. Elder and Sister Randall taught them the temple preparation classes.
